Feng Shui

Looking back over my years in the gaming industry one game that stands out as over the top fun is the pen and paper rpg Feng Shui.  The premise of the game is to play in a world based on the “Wire Fu” asian martial arts action movies.  The more over the top your move is the better you do.  The characters you can create with the game are awesome.  One of my favorites was basically a drifter and his special ability was to just be able to appear in any scene.  You’re party is about to throw down and is outnumbered when all of a sudden your character appears at the bar with some one liner.  We had one guy playing the gun crazied, short tempered, Yun-Fat Chow asian cop that always flew off the handle and would shoot the place up.  I played a martial arts expert who could turn into a lizard man and liked to eat Yakuza (some reason at the time is seemed way cooler than it does at this moment).  The game mechanics are cool because the more running across tree tops, shoving your hand through a criminals chest and slow mo gunplay you can come up with the better.  Fun game to play when you just want to blow stuff up and have some serious laughs while doing it.  Good game.
